I’m a writer by morning and a day job slinger the rest of the time. I was born on the West coast, grew up near the East coast, and have lived many places in between.

My essays have been published in Fourth Genre, The Gettysburg Review, The Florida Review, The Iowa Review, december, and elsewhere. I’ve published scholarship and reviews in Assay and Pleiades, and I’ve won a handful of writing awards, including a Florida Review’s Editor Award, an offered Ohio Arts Council Individual Artist Award, and a Sustainable Arts Foundation finalist award. My work has been listed among the Notable Essays of the Best American Essays.
